The Telus Art Program was comprised of a selection of Canadian artists exploring nature and communication matters. It involved public competitions, community programs, as well as purchasing and commissioning a large body of work from a wide variety of artists –integrating it with the architecture and the interior design.
Anabella was also responsible for managing budget and schedule, coordinating artists, fabricators, consultants and construction managers, from pre-artist selection to project close-out, working closely with Telus’ executive team and the project design team. The program included works by Nadia Myre (Algonquin member of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinaabeg First Nation), Don Yeomans (Haida), as well as Brent Comber (public competition), Amy Thompson (public competition), Contemporary Art Gallery with Cineworks students (community group), Arts Umbrella students (community group), Michael Dennis, Al McWilliams, Janice Wright Cheney, Rodney Graham, Takao Tanabe, among others.
